With the new arena near completion, I suppose now is as good a time as any to put a bid in to host the 2011 All-Star Game. Say what you will about the take-it-easy approach to the game, but it'd still be cool to see all those stars coming into town for the event.

I just flipped out. I WILL DEFINITELY BE THERE.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are your Stanley Cup Champions!!

Well it hasn’t been confirmed yet, so you may want to hold off on flipping out. heh. I can only imagine that the Devils put their name into the mix as well seeing as how it is the newest arena in the league. Next year the CEC will be the newest, but if the league overlooks Prudential and goes right to Pittsburgh we’ll never hear the end of it.

Does this mean Ovie and Crosby will be on the same team in Pittsburgh? That will be different…

They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.

Didn’t excite me the first time it happened. Won’t excite me the second time.

Which, I find far more entertaining.

Not that I don’t enjoy the ASG.

I think they will get the Frozen Four at the CEC before they get the All-Star game. I know Robert Morris University wants to sponsor it and they are the catalyst to bring it here.

I thought the NHL already had cities picked out for the All Star Game already for the next couple of seasons. Could be wrong on that though, usually they were picked out for two years or so.

It's always a great day or night for hockey - no matter the time or place!

Well allegedly they like to pair up the ASG with the draft in the same city, but with the Oly break and all that may alter things a bit. The draft is in LA this yr but I can’t see the ASG being there in 2011.
