A rumor I'm hearing...
I'm hearing tales of Alex Goligoski for Ryan Callahan? Can someone allay my fears here? Make no mistake, I'd LOVE to have Callahan - he's one of my favorite players outside of a Penguin uniform. He plays with the high skill level and reckless abandon I remember from Ryan Malone. However, I'm not terribly enthusiastic about trading GoGo for anybody. I know it's just a rumor, but it scares me nonetheless.

go-go to go
as a pens fan this would be an upgrade. callahan is good two way player and goligoski is defensive liability. letang is our future back on the blueline. i like go-go but his defense is suspect at best!

Where’s this rumor coming from? This is the first I’ve heard of it.
I don’t see it happening, but who knows. It’d be rare for an intra-divisional trade, don’t know if both GMs would want to trade two young players for each other.
Wayne Gretzky had it wrong: 100% of the shots Gary Roberts doesn't take DO go in.
There have been quite a few trades with the pens/strangers over the years.
both guys are the same age/similar size not sure I like it. NY has scoring issues, but I have a hard time believing they would be give up a scorer.
I don’t think I’d like the deal. Granted, it’d be trading from a strength (offensive D) for a weakness, but I don’t know. Also, not sure how it would happen under the cap, given that Callahan’s cap hit is $2.3M this year as opposed to Gogo’s $1.833M.
I believe both salaries would be prorated.
According to NHL Numbers, we have about a half-mil of cap space left. By my math (done by subtracting GoGo’s cap hit from Callahan’s, multiplying by 42 [number of days left in season], and dividing by 193 [total number of days in the season]), this would decrease our cap space by slightly over 100K.
Hey, an out is an out - unless you're Mario, in which case it's probably two outs. -UtesFan89
Why can't Mendy bust a long TD run? We could use it.
doubt it will happen
shero said he’s not interested in moving anymore defencemen.
