"The first linesman told me it was icing, which it wasn't. The second linesman told me it was a high-sticking call, which if you watch the replay, I'm about 10 or 15 feet past the linesman before he makes the signal that it's a high stick, so I have no way of knowing it's a high stick. As far as I was concerned, it was just a regular forecheck. Somebody told me I jumped and left my feet, which you clearly see that I didn't. So I'm baffled. People can decide for themselves."

I wish I could find video of it, but I can’t. This is essentially what I was trying to say in the comments in the recap thread, though.
I tried looking for it too. I was actually sitting in that end when it happened and I was wondering what was going on. If I remember correctly I saw a refs hand up in the air and another one wiping out icing. Then Adams crushing the guy and getting sent to the dressing room.

I didn’t think it would have been such a big deal or I would have posted it. I deleted the game so I can’t make it :(

Well said Craig, my thoughts exactly. That had to be the softest Charging/Boarding/High Sticking/Headshot/Match Penalty i can ever recall. And that’s exactly what I was worried about when they started with the rule changes this week, that any kind of hit to the head, no matter how incidental, will result in a penalty being called. This will undoubtebly take some hitting out of the game, and not just the dirty hitting. I mean don’t you think that Adams is gonna think twice before he slams Skoula in the boards next time? You bet your rump he will.
Now look, I’m all for players safety. The thing most people don’t realize is that these athletes still have a life to live outside hockey and injuries affect those lives daily. However, hockey is inherently a violent/dangerous sport and one assumes those risks by playing it. I mean anyone who’s ever played the game will tell you that you could wear the Hurt Locker bomb disposal suit and still get injured somehow. My only hope is that the Adams hit (where incidental head contact is automatically called) doesn’t become the norm.
Maybe we should invent some sort of head protector that would absorb some of the impact of hits, ahh crud, someone beat me to it, its called a fricking HELMET!!
Rant over..
Very interesting find on the Penguins Official Website

a feature called “Adams Contributes in Many Ways”
it’s like a subtle way of saying saying " SO WHEN THE REFEREES TAKE CRAIG ADAMS OUT OF A CLOSE GAME WITH A HORRIBLE CALL IT KIND OF FUCKS US UP A LITTLE BIT."
It just went up today as far as I can see…..
