You’d be out of luck anyway — the game is on NHL network. :(

Hmmm wonder why I can watch it on FSN. Maybe someone screwed up!!

It’s on FSN Pittsburgh and NHL network nationally. That means everyone in the U.S. is blacked out from this game on gamecenter

There’s a differencce between agiatating and purposely hitting a guy in the legs. Which Cooke just chose to do.

I know he walks a fine line, but when he sees a chance to hurt people, he takes it. And that’s what almost happened again.

i bet the fine didn’t even cover the costs of the time and money they spent on it.

Question

When the puck lands on top of the net can you still try to play it or is it dead. Because if it lands on the back of the net you can try hitting it off once right?

"Half the game is mental, the other half is being mental." - Jim McKenny

by AlexStitch on Mar 18, 2010 7:47 PM EDT reply actions

It’s still in play, technically.

But if a team plays a puck with a high stick, you get a whistle. So unless you grab it (and not close hand on puck) it’s impossble to legally get it out of there for the most part.

Which is why refs usually blow it dead real quick in most situations like that

They do look good. They never give up. Not a lot of skill, really, but they just keep pushing back.

Yes, good for their suffering fans!

Oh man, Martin just missed a wide open net from 10 feet away.

And now the Leafs will get a PP for the last 90 seconds or so.

Yeah!!!! We need to have the Pens watch that game by the Leafs. It wasn’t pretty, but they did get behind the Devils far more than we did and recovered from the turnovers much more quickly.
