Cooke gets the first goal 2:37 in and makes Boston REALLY mad.

Did Errey just say the Bruins stunk then and they stink now? I half heard that

GW40 thanks for ruining my ability of watching highlights from the games on the left coast. Where are you moving back home?

I don’t get it why would they suggest taking out Sid?

I wouldn’t even think he’s their best player.
"Half the game is mental, the other half is being mental." - Jim McKenny
Well, now that he’s injured they want to say they’ve struggled because they “lost their best player.”
Like, you have to remember that when we lost to the Devils last night, we didn’t have our best player, Eric Godard.
And we also were without our enforcer Geno

He’s a real tough guy now. Where was that on the night Cooke put a guy on a stretcher?

Eh, but fighting Cooke was the point he was trying to make. Stupid sports politics and whatnot

Me too. If a Boston player lays a big hit on someone it’ll likely be Rupp/Godard going for round 2.

Or the goaltender in Chicago last night. Don’t remember his name, but he was basically stuck at center ice when he misplayed a puck last night. He rushed back to his net but Byflugien was trying to play goal. He failed.

Yeah I’m over Cooke doing stupid crap like that… I like him on the third line, but in my opinion, most of his agitator moments are poor decisions.
Being an agitator means being able to always do it, not always getting caught.

There’s a differencce between agiatating and purposely hitting a guy in the legs. Which Cooke just chose to do.
I know he walks a fine line, but when he sees a chance to hurt people, he takes it. And that’s what almost happened again.

Question
When the puck lands on top of the net can you still try to play it or is it dead. Because if it lands on the back of the net you can try hitting it off once right?
"Half the game is mental, the other half is being mental." - Jim McKenny
It’s still in play, technically.
But if a team plays a puck with a high stick, you get a whistle. So unless you grab it (and not close hand on puck) it’s impossble to legally get it out of there for the most part.
Which is why refs usually blow it dead real quick in most situations like that

A) Boston has a lot of emotion for the whole Cooke thing
B) Second game in two nights with travel involved.
They do need to dig deep to keep the energy/aggression up, but I think it’s reasonable for how they played considering what they walked into.

In case anyone is interested. No score so far in Leafs and Devils. Trap game in full force. Lots of back and forth but very few actual shots or scoring chances. Go Leafs! Yup, painful to say that…but….go Leafs!

I find it amusing that FSN chose the Boston game to give an update on Philip Samuelsson. I mean, it makes sense because I think he’s playing in town. But given the history between his dad and Boston, it makes me chuckle.

Isn't sad that
Scott Gomez is making 8 million a year and has 8 goals…ans Rupp is making less than a mill ans he’s got 13?

Well gomez has wheels. If anything that might be the one upside over Rupp, but I agree – not an $8 million upside. Rupp is much better value

Rupp's lucky 13th
ties him for 6th on the team with who else …. Matt Cooke.
Who would of thought he’s score more than 10 this year. Just Another good signing by Shero!

Our Rupper
Who art in Pittsburgh
Noted be thy name
Thy goal will come
Thy will be done
On ice
As it is in Boston
Give us this game
Our three-goal win
And forgive defensive lapses
As we forgive those
Who don’t lapse against us
And lead us not
Into the playoffs
But deliver us from Jersey
Amen

Godard getting more minutes, guess they are expecting something since they obviously didn’t come to play hockey

FSN announcers have totally checked out and are babbling about stuff having nothing to do with the game
Correction
It was from the side (don’t know if its really any better) and legal by the rules but dirty in the minds of everyone who knows anything about hockey

Now Errey is just rubbing salt in the whole “we destroyed Savard, lol” wound.
Avalanche fan stuck in Penguin territory.
I don’t know. It was enjoyable in game 7 against the Caps last year when they made fun of Semin.

me either. And when I did one last year I just filled it out so quick and gambled on so many games I finished 30 out of 30, or something like that

It's sad because
Canes and Caps are 3-3 and I almost want to watch them rather than NJ because I know the finish will probably be more exciting….

You’re shitting me?!
Lol he lost the fight with Chara then had the 3rd goal in a 3-0 game…are the Bostonians being sarcastic?
