Stanley Cup On Display at the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum April 1-4
I don't know how well publicized this is in Pittsburgh, but it sounds pretty cool. The story is below. The Stanley Cup and other trophies will be on display. An employee at the Heinz History Center told us they would be open 24 hours a day while the Cup is there, though below it only mentions extended hours. I'll definitely be there to check it out, especially with a sweet home game against Atlanta that Saturday, April 3.
Thursday, April 1 - Sunday, April 4
Extended HoursPenguins fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with the Stanley Cup as part of a special display this spring.
Thanks to the generosity of the Penguins organization and the NHL, the Stanley Cup will be on display at the History Center and Sports Museum from April 1-4.
As part of the display, fans will also get a chance to take their photo with 10 individual trophies earned by the Penguins throughout the years, including the Hart Trophy, the Art Ross Trophy, and the Prince of Wales Trophy. The History Center will be open extended hours during the Cup’s appearance to accommodate the holiday weekend.
