Game Photos - 3/27/2010 Pens vs Flyers
NHL conspiracies and bad hair.
At some point during all of the pro-Penguins officiating today, there was apparently a hockey game that was played. This is how the game looked through my eyes, with some added influence from all of the Penguin haters out there. I apologize in advance for the paucity of action shots. I spent most of the game looking at the backs of Flyers' heads. Enjoy!
I already posted this in the game recap, but here it is again. The wife and I made up a little Pensburgh sign to go on the glass behind the Flyers' bench, hoping the tv camera might catch it on a close-up and thus expose this wonderful site to an even wider audience. I'm not sure if that worked. Also, not visible here, we put up little "GO PENS GO PENS GO PENS" signs in the space beneath the Highmark signs. Just a little message to the Flyers that the Pens were all around them. Lastly, our "Let's Go Pens" and "Pens Are Your Daddy" signs (a little shameless self promotion on my part). I very rarely make a sign that refers to the opposing team, preferring to stick to pro-Pens messages, but for the Flyers I was willing to make an exception.
Cari found a great shot of the sign.

Warm-up time. Boucher must have known he would be called into service later in the game.

Beer....check
Practice jersey....check
Flyer Scum sign....check

Pronger sucks all that is good from his brain and replaces it with pure, liquid evil.
I'm sure this connection has been made before:
But what about this one?
============================================
Hartnell's kid?
Speaking of Hartnell.....come up with your own caption for this one.
==================================================================
Enough about the "bad guys" for now. Here are the old 29er and, well, the new 29er.
In the words of the old 29er: "Let's get it on!"
NHL conspiracy shows itself early. Giroux heads to the box for something he almost certainly didn't do.
Pens celebrate, Flyers skate listlessly back to the bench.

Sid: "You're just the guy with the fancy whistle and the funny clothes, but I'm still the one who makes the calls, capiche?"
Trust me. Laviolette did not care for this explanation.
Pens celebrate. Flyers skate listlessly back to the bench. Again.
Whatever has Pronger smiling this much can't possibly be good for humanity.
I love the way Brooks always seems to be pondering the deeper meaning behind everything.
This one's for katielynn.
While we're at it, this one's for all the ladies.
This linesman was instructed not to clap wildly after every face off won by the Penguins.
Hartnell attempts to perform the Vulcan Mind Meld on himself.
Oh well, Scotty, you and your Flyer buddies can hit the turnpike heading East. See ya next year (or maybe next month).
3rd star of the night, Marc-Andre Fleury!
2nd star of the night, Ruslan Fedotenko!!!
Preach it, sister!
1st star of the night, Sidney Crosby!!!
Iceburgh waves goodbye to the Igloo. But we still have 5 more games here, plus playoffs!

Wow those are some great pics. What kind of camera did you use?
And did anyone know that Ryan Miller is a photographer, pretty much pro?

Thanks. I use a Sony DSC H20. I got it because it’s relatively small and at the time it was very inexpensive. I’m pretty happy with it. I’m definitely no pro, just looking to get some good shots of games to look back on, and this camera suits my needs.
