WBS Penguins Game 2 vs Albany Tonight at 7 p.m.
The Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins battled hard on Wednesday night's game 1 but lost a heartbreaker 4-3. After Nick Johnson scored, what would later be known as, his 3rd of the game with the extra attacker with only 1:22 left would be spoiled only a few seconds later as Albany's Nick Dodge lit the lamp for his second of the night with just 51 seconds left in the game. The penguins drew a penalty and got a 6 on 4 faceoff in the offensive zone in the game's waning seconds but were unable to tie it up again and dropped game 1 to Albany in a 4-3 decision.
Tonight they play game 2 in Albany without their starting goaltender Brad Theissen, who was called up to Pittsburgh to back up Marc Andre Fleury because of a problem with Brent Johnson (injury or sickness it doesnt really matter). So the Baby pens will lean to John Curry to carry the team on his shoulders like he did for the Calder Cup final run 2 years ago. Since then though Curry's play has been rather inconsistent which is why he wasn't the original #1 goalie for the playoffs to begin with.
This is a must win game for the baby pens as much as it is a must win for the big pens. Let hope they can both pull of a "W'' tonight. You can watch baby pens game on ahl live or listen at the link below.
