Hossa or Philthadelphia?
Saturday night-two teams will compete for Lord Stanley's cup- The Chicago Blackhawks and The Philthadelphia Flyers. Two "enemies" of the Pittsburgh Penguins fanbase-Marian Hossa and Daniel Carcillo, as well as the rest of the Flyers' team. The colors of orange disgrace the P that emblazones their jersies. So my question to all of you fellow Pensburghians- Who do we root for? Hossa or the Flyers? Traitor or Cross-state rivals? For our conference? For our state?
This is an easy question for me. As much as I dislike Hossa, I hate the Flyers more than anything or anyone. I will be rooting fanatically for Chicago despite the fact they have Enemy #2 (Hossa sits behind only Daniel Carrcilo)

Gotta cheer for Chicago. I’d prefer to not see Hossa ever win, but I think we got all the closure needed with Hossa when the Pens shut him down that whole series and beat him for the Cup. Can’t ask for much more than that.
And besides, the thought of Scott Hartnell celebrating with Stanley (and no doubt leaving stray hairs all over that thing) makes me ill.
I’ve been humming Chelsea Dagger around Flyers’ fans all week, to excellent reactions.

I really don’t care if Hossa wins or loses. You have to assume he’s going to win at some point in his career. He’s a really good player, as we all know first hand.
So if he wins, whatever. If he loses, I’ll laugh, if only because it will allow me to distract from the fact that the Flyers won.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com and twitter.
Is it wrong to hope that
Hossa gets hurt in his first shift and the Blackhawks win?
That way we can at least try to make an argument that the Blackhawks won in spite of him. :)
Yes, that is a little bit wrong. I think it would be better to hope for Hossa to play horribly and Chicago win without him.
The Pens will be back.

Rock & Hard Place…
Doesn’t really matter to me who wins, I’m half expecting to wake up in July and go, “Huh? Philly won?”
Only to see the expression on Hossa’s face I’d go for a Flyers win. Not because I’m still pissed at him (maybe a little), but we’ll never see another 3 time loser with this level of fail in our lifetime.

Just so I never have to answer this again. I'm from Singapore so whenever you see me online, I'm either sleep deprived or just waking up.
We already did. His name is Ty Conklin.

I really don’t care who wins either. I wouldn’t find Philly winning because I recently watched that HBO documentary about the Broad Street Bullies and it was really good. Plus, due to my geographical location in a state that I hope falls into the ocean very soon, I wouldn’t mind bragging that my home state of Pennsylvania was able to keep the Stanley Cup another year.
On the other hand, yes we should all be over the whole Hossa thing. We showed him whats what, plus I like Toews, I like Kane, I like Dusty, and Keith sacrificed seven teeth, so you have to like him.
Plus, if you think about it, Detroit fans might be pulling for the Flyers too after Hossa did the same thing to them that they did us- used us for one season to try and quench his own personal thirst. So maybe their cheers will be the loudest to the hockey Gods.

I hate Hossa, but not nearly as much as PHILLY!!!!
We got vengeance on Hossa by lifting the cup while he cried in the Red Wings locker room. As much as I still despise him, I could never and will never root for the goons of Broad Street.
If Scotty (EXPLETIVE) Hartnell ever lifts that Cup in my lifetime, may the hockey gods strike me down!!!!!!

My dad offered to pay for the jersey I’ve been lusting after for months (hey, I’m a broke college student – if it comes down to Pens jersey, books, or sorority dues, guess what I’m going with). Of course, there was a catch: I had to root for Philthy this whole series. Needless to say, the jersey’s still in the store and I’m still putting a little bit of my paycheck aside each week to pay for it.
I pretty much feel exactly the same way as most Pens fans: Hossa’s a jagoff, but I hate the Flyers more. I’d rather see Chicago hoist the Cup. I don’t have a problem with the rest of the team. Just Hossa.
