Lets talk free agency
After a tough year of wingers not producing along with the power play being the worst it's been in years It's been rough. We have also seen quite a bit of line changes and watched dupuis go from first line to 4th as well as watching talbot score a hand full of points. Being a pens fan this year should have come with some Lipitor. Props to Crosby for stepping it up and Shame on Malkin and Fluery for not producing. This year should play an important rule in where those two will be staying come trade deadline and free agency next year. With that said we should talk about what we need come this fee agency.
Wingers and D-men. Any suggestions?
I'm going with
Bill Guerin (resigned)
Martin?

I don’t see Malkin or Fleury being moved at the deadline this year or next. MALKIN IS NOT ON THE TRADING BLOCK. MAF IS THE STARTING GOALIE AT LEAST UNTIL HIS CONTRACT IS UP. NEITHER ONE OF THEM IS GOING ANYWHERE.
Also, I think all this talk about needing wingers is incorrect. The Pens were fifth in the league in goals scored. Not exactly a team that desperately needs a some more offense if you ask me. It was the lack of D that hurt us.

Unless malkin and fluery produce this year I really don’t see them staying very long. You really think shero is going to let them eat up the cap for a player who will ask for less and play just as hard if not harder. Regardless where they were ranked in terms of goals think of how much better they would do with a stronger performing cast along side Crosby and Malkin (if he gets his head out of his ass). Shouldn’t turn a blind eye to underproducing players.
But I believe we both agree with the D needing the most help. Letang needs to start hitting the net more and we need to stop chasing so much leaving open shots for our opponents.
Alex Ovechkin - I've got nothing to say....
i think it was JustinM
who said that before Malkin’s injury he was on pace for 94 points or at least 90. So I think he should do fine this year especially if he can get comfortable with whatever linemates he has this year. Also Fleury will be fine we signed Michalek and if we get Martin that puts a great Top 5 D out there: Orpik, Martin, Letang, Michalek, and Golgoski.

Which of those two didn’t produce? Honestly?!? You people crack me. Not every year can be a career year. Plus, I have sneaking suspicion that Fleury’s horrible D last year might have had something to do with his drop in production.
Regarding the rest of your response, what exactly will Shero do if they are “not producing” as you say. Most GM’s don’t usually trade for nonproducing high price players. Furthermore, even if they do have another year of “nonproduction” they are both young and will get a much longer leash than you are stating.
