Former Pen, Darryl Sydor, Retires
Even though his departure from Pittsburgh wasn't all that pleasant, I always liked the guy and I wish him the best of luck in the future!

Thanks for the memories, Syd
.

.
I’ve been a fan going back to his early days with the Kings, back when they were my #2 team. When he came to the Pens, I thought it interesting that his nickname was Syd, while one of Sid’s nicknames is Darryl. Anyway, I enjoyed his time on the Pens and I hope he has a lot of success in his next life, which I assume will involve a little bit of coaching.

It’s a shame his time with us turned didn’t turn up all roses… He was one of my favorite d-men growing up…
Is it October yet?
Just so I never have to answer this again. I'm from Singapore so whenever you see me online, I'm either sleep deprived or just waking up.
I’ll always remember this play in the 2000 SCF… Man, oh man… what heart…

Amazing stuff. Hockey players, truly a breed apart.
