Pens of the Past: Rick Tocchet

This is a little feature I did two (!!) years ago here on Pensburgh. I thought I'd bring back a few of my favorites during the offseason. Some of the content may have been time sensitive in the original post, so pay no mind to that (ie. Tocchet was reinstated around the time of this original post as an assistant in Phoenix. He has since been replaced as the head coach of the Lightning).

Obviously comments are closed on that 2008 post, but feel free to chat it up here in the comments of this fanshot.

One of my personal favorite features of this one is the video at the end.

One of the great wings we ever had in the team. And probably on the same class as Gary Roberts, as tough guy. I’ll never forget when he came back to the ice in Chicago to finish the game with a broken jaw.

Perhaps only when David Volek is mentioned. I actually like that idea. I hereby claims the one time you can get away with the F-bomb on Pensburgh without a warning is when you use it as Volek’s middle name.
