NHL.com: Young players get shot at playing with Pens' stars
Nice write up on prospect camp and how the Penguins' youth may (er, will) play a factor in this season's final roster.

interesting…
But I don’t buy it that Jeffrey & Johnson are chomping at the bit and ready to be great contributors right off the bat. I even have my doubts about Tangradi…
I definitely want them to succeed & having our top 6 winger solution come internally is the best thing that can happen to us, but I’m just having some trouble believing that they can come in to make an impact immediately. Here’s hoping though…
Is it October yet?

Yeah I had a few opinions on that as well but I figured I’d wait for someone else to chime in. Thanks for playing! hah
Anyways, I have to agree. I think Johnson would have the better shot out of the two, but Jeffrey will get the occasional call-up. I personally don’t want to see five minor league guys cracking the roster or anything, but given the amount locked up in some guys and the cap space it would appear as if the best financial solution would be to give three or four guys a shot.

my thoughts exactly… it’s rare for that lightning in a bottle scenario where we have 3 or 4 WBS guys coming up at the same time to be big parts of our team from the very beginning… I think we’re doing fine where some of our farm guys (GoGo, TK, Scuds) all came up and did well for us with a few more being bit part contributors (TestTube, Gradi)…
