Pens Sign Minor League D-man Andrew Hutchinson

Another minor league defenseman who made a living in the Dallas affiliate last season. Couldn't hurt to have the reserves on hand, but now it looks like there may be some more lateral movement in the Penguins' system.

I'm guessing they'll stay unconfirmed.

The Flyers have been trying to move wingers, not add them.

According to Zherdev’s KHL team (Atlant) the deal with Philadelphia is complete… I have not heard that on this side of the pond just yet.

i don’t know, but the Flyers board is abuzz w/ this news
they think details will be announced tomorrow

they only have 500k in cap space
and they want to sign Turco as their #1 goalie

they can go 10% over cap until the beg. of the season, so there is no immediate issue
but it is interesting

Also, according to ESPN, Evgeni Nabokov signed a 4-year deal in the KHL. Looks like Marty Turco is the only option left for the Flyers.

I like the depth move, and I assume it is just that. With the expectation that some players will move up, and the lack of signing of others, they will need to keep WBS staffed as well. It should be an interesting year. Until then, we can continue to have fun speculating :)
