Gold Medal Prediction
A Canadian TV personality predicts the 2010 gold medal winner.
My girlfriend showed me this video a couple of days ago, and I thought it was brilliant. I actually just realized that it happened during the tourch relay prior to the Olympics, which makes it even better.
It features none other than your own Sidney Crosby, and Shaun Majumder, a reporter on the Canadian television show, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, which combines news parody, sketch comedy, and satirical editorials.
Sharpen up your math skills before you watch, or just follow along, trusting he is correct (he is, I'm a math major).

In the video coments, someone also mentioned that 87 + 12 (Jarome Iginla) = 99. If only Majumder had been bold enough to predict the Crosby from Iginla combo.
The content expressed in fanposts does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the staff here at Pensburgh.com. FanPosts are opinions expressed by fans of various teams throughout the league but may be more Pittsburgh-centric for obvious reasons.

But…71 + 8 = 79
Just sayin’. Obviously, that team just did not work at all. Canada absolutely dominated that game. Everyone on that team looked soft that night, to be honest.
Pretty cool either way.
So when's October you ask? Well, here's your answer.
How bout the memorize? He had to have rehearsed that whole speech to get it all right.

Doesn’t Geno relinquish the 71 when he’s on the Russian team though? Anyhoo, I did love this clip and I clung to it throughout the Olympics. When Canada handed the Russians their derrieres in the quarters, I thought they might win it all.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I guess Kovy + Ov = gold at the olympics, but since it wasn’t Kovalchuk’s original number it didn’t work.

That’s pretty damn cool. And like it that Sid just sat there and, though at first he might have thought about it, didn’t tell him to shut up or get on with it. That’s some good stuff.
I just want to note that as an American, I cheered for Canada in 2010.

Indeed, Sid’s reaction was one of the highlights of the video. I imagine most would just have told him to get on with it.

Sid’s dorky like that though. He seems like the kind of guy that would like that kind of math-pattern shit.
