An Essay by Sid Crosby
Found an old gem written by an 18 year old Capt. Cros. It's interesting because you see the same attitude, in the essay, that Sid still has today. I think that's pretty remarkable--6 years of NHL experience and your values haven't changed since you've been drafted. That speaks volumes to just how little all the pressure and media has affected him. My favorite quote: When I was 16 and knew I might have the opportunity to get drafted, I wanted to go No. 1. My parents always told me, if you want to go first, make it easy on yourself. Don't be sitting there on draft day thinking, am I going to go No. 1, No. 2, No. 3? Make it easy for them.
