First things first: Are there other NHL teams besides the Penguins and Capitals?
Nope!Wait, really?
OK, sure, in the strictest technical sense there are other teams in the league. In addition to the Penguins and Capitals, there are also the Flyers, Rangers, Red Wings, Blackhawks and… um… the Lakers. Look, it really doesn't matter. Just pay attention to the Penguins and Capitals and everyone will be happy.Cool, so both those teams will have long playoff runs?
You know what, maybe just focus on the Penguins.

I enjoyed the Winter Classic, but why was it played at night? I much prefer watching sports in the afternoon.
I know, right? Never fear, the Winter Classic was only played at night because of last-minute weather concerns. Rest assured that every other NBC game you ever see will take place in the afternoon.
Yep, and as early in the afternoon as we can get away with.

Ah yes. Nothing like a warm spring afternoon watching the game. The people that owned my house before me had a crazy setup. Their TV was on a cart with wheels and they had something like 45 feet of cable coming out of the wall so they could move their TV all over the first floor. So when it’s warm outside I just put the TV on the porch and put the cable out the window. It’s great for those April, May, and June games.
Put on your dancin' shoes.
One day I’ll stop feeling weird about barbecuing in a Penguins T-shirt before spring games. Seeing the team deep in the playoffs does help a little.

Early enough that I almost feel guilty about firing up the blender to make drinks. (But I have to do something to drown McGuire and Milbury out during intermissions…)

Seriously, I’m not sure how the league can make any decision other than to make this an annual Pens-Caps game. They can play it in different cities, but always featuring Pens-Caps.
