Eric Tangradi Called Up From WB/S
I suppose he'll play tomorrow if Kennedy is unable to go.

I think you’re right, if Kennedy can play, there should be 12 forwards:
Sullivan-Malkin-Neal
Kunitz-Staal-Kennedy
Cooke-Park-Dupuis
Adams-Vitale-Asham
If Tangradi’s needed, I’d imagine they bump Dupuis up to a top six role and give ET25 3rd line and PP time.

If TK can’t go why not give Tangradi top six minutes? Let’s see what he can do for a game in November. Maybe they find something, if they don’t it’s only a game or two and then Sid is back. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

If TK cannot go Tangradi will get his chance to play. But he is not, at least at this point a top six forward. So I don’t think he will or should get top six forward icetime. He has to earn those minutes. You can just say it’s one game. It’s a game against a top team. Also by saying or thinking that ahead of a game the coach would be sending the wrong message. What has Tangradi shown so far better than Vitale, Park or Adams to name just a few players.

Right. Bylsma’s job is to put the team in the best position to win. And positionally, structurally there’s no doubt that a guy like Dupuis or Cooke makes a lot better sense to play more ES minutes.
Tangradi will definitely get his chance, especially on the PP. He needs to make the most of it. But you don’t really need him to be on a top line (and in theory having to play against tougher caliber of competition) if he’s not ready for the speed of the NHL.

Yep.
Tangradi looks to be in the Jeffrey role for tonight: fourth-line minutes, possibly with a little second-team PP time sprinkled in. Hopefully, Tangradi can add a little extra snarl on the forecheck for that line tonight.

The practice lines, FWIW
Tyler Kennedy was ruled as a game-time decision by coach Bylsma yesterday. He and Crosby were the only forwards that didn’t skate in line combos.
