Mark Fistric also missed some time due to injury after taking a puck to the throat. Luckily he was able to return and played a key role later in the game.

Disallowed goals were the order of the day. This one got past Let-one-in but it was waved off when the officials determined that Kunitz had made incidental contact with the Stars' netminder.
Cookie netted the penalty shot goal to put the Pens up 3-1. (WARNING: You may want to turn down the volume. The video is quite loud.) Cookie surprised a lot of us with that move. Some have attributed it to his renewed dedication to playing hockey "the right way". Others will credit Jack Adams Award Winning Head Coach Dan Bylsma and the time spent in practice working on the shootout. I'm going with the fact that Cookie was photographed earlier that day holding @PensKnittngLady's lucky sock.
No time to rest as the Pens are headed to Raleigh for a Saturday night match-up against the Hurricanes.
