Crosby Not Practicing Today
According to Pens' Twitter account, he will address the media later today. Can't say it sounds all that promising...

Here we go again.
This is not good at all. He was out for ten months and played just 8 games before landing on the shelf again. I tried to block out all the people saying his career could be done but stuff like this does make me wonder. I absolutely loathe Steckel who started this nightmare!!!

Maybe this is a good time to share a little secret: his collision with Steckel was an accident. Nothing more.
Hope Sid gets back on the ice soon.
Cross check and all call.

Did I say it wasn’t an accident? I said Steckel started this and he DID right? If you are so good at sharing secrets then please tell the rest of us why the great Ovechkin can’t lead his team to the ECF let alone the SCF? Actually you should probably tell the underachieving AO instead.

…and Diomedes claimed we weren’t on Pens fans’ minds…
Red Line Station and @RedArmyLine, featuring coverage of the most frustrating team in the NHL
I believe in next year.

I think he will be fine after this. He came back and got in everyone’s faces and they all gave it to him. As Mike Milbury said on Hockey Night in Canada, he is the best player in the world and needs to play his game and thats it but he was playing like he was asking for trouble.
I think Crosby will learn from this.
"Have you ever seen such finesse?"
"When you lose say little, when you win say less"
"You're a wiser man with Yzerman, but you're better off with Federov"
How was he asking for trouble. It is naive to think that nobody will hit Sid. The reason people like Cherry and Milbury said he was asking for trouble, is because of his scuffle with that dirtball of Foligno, who took a run at MAF. Sid did what he had to do. I’m proud that he is the Pens Captain. That had absolutely nothing to do with the Bruins hit. If you can’t get hit you can’t play hockey, unfortunately, hits to the head still o on , a lot of them not sanctioned. Crosby didn’t look good the whole game.. I FAIL TO SEE what Sid is suppose to learn.
The Hockey Dr.
He will learn to play his game and thats it.
You look at the Sedins, players like Patrick Kane, even Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, they all worry about scoring goals and making plays. With Sid, its like he makes plays because he wants to provoke opposing players. And this is why the Sedins are rarely hurt, its because they focus on their game and shrug off the nonsense stuff. Sid needs to do the same.
It was more than the Foligno incident, too. He got himself involved with David Backes and some other players during the St. Louis game as well.
I,too am proud of our captain but the best player in the world in ANY sport should not have to always get involved with this kinda stuff.
"Have you ever seen such finesse?"
"When you lose say little, when you win say less"
"You're a wiser man with Yzerman, but you're better off with Federov"
Having see Mario being attacked the same way as Sid, I can say that it has to do more with the ability of the player to do things that nobody else can stop legally. I’m not saying the Sedin’s are not good players, but they are not in the same level as Crosby. Neither is Patrick Kane ( who does get involved if the situation calls for). On the other hand the same people that are giving Sid this “advice” were calling the Sedin’s “Thelma and Louise” last year. Sorry that argument doesn’t fly. I don’t think Sid should fight, but I admire his total commitment to the game, no matter if it December or the playoffs. That’s why he’s the Captain. He never takes a shift off.
The Hockey Dr.
Exactly spot on.
Crosby doesn’t need to learn a damn thing. It’s absolutely ludicrous to put any blame on him for any of this. Like you mention the Bruins hit had nothing to do with Crosby getting into post-whistle scrums or anything like that. It could of happened at anytime.

Concussion like symptoms

AKA doomsday
There's an 87% chance this post is sarcasm...
1. USA Today isn’t the best source.
2. They just repeated what everyone else reported.
I believe it’s common to be completely clear of symptoms after a concussion and then, just depending on your body and activity, having some pop again after thinking you are all in the clear. I think he’ll be fine.
1. Who cares, the report is accurate
2. So you’re saying that it was a good source? All news outlets just repeat what others report.
He didn’t get hard and he’s having concussion like symptoms and is now going to miss at the very minimum 3 games. What happens when he does actually get hard.
Good luck with the optimism, but if this doesn’t scare the hell out of you then I don’t know what will.
