"When he was my age, he wouldn’t give up," she said. "He has this drive and I don’t know where he got it from. It’s just so inspiring to watch. You just wish you had that. I just started to get that drive. When I think I can’t go anymore in practice, I think well, he wouldn’t give up so why should I? Even though he’s had success, he’s still hungry."
"I’ve gotten better," she said. "I used to yell at the guys when I was about 6 years old and get mad at them. I didn’t want them to hurt him. It’s almost like ‘Don’t give the puck to him so he doesn’t get hit.’ "
