The Penguins dominated the play at even strength tonight for the most part, but they simply lost the special teams battle. A total of 17 power plays were awarded tonight by referee Tim Mayer. The Pens got nine power plays, one of those being a 5-on-3. The Phantoms got eight, with three 5-on-3 opportunities. All five goals scored tonight came on the man advantage.
