Check up coming for Crosby

Along with a checkup for Crosby, Shero has stated that Mike Comrie and Alex Kovalev will not be returning next year. Also, a deal was very close for Craig Adams but it fell through and talks will continue.

Of course, he’s vital especially in the playoffs. Not to mention he’s “The Kid’s” best friend on the team.

I’m okay, finally got my computer fixed. I had to wait for a couple of weeks so I was MIA for a while too. Hope you did well on your exams.
Well, I guess I’ll talk to you around Pensburgh now & then during the summer, I may even pop in over at PPP so keep an eye out for L1.

I read somewhere and I wish I new where, that Craig Adams may want a pretty significant raise. This kind of makes sense given his age and the fact it’s probably his last big contact (or last at all). I think the article said in the $1 million range he was looking for. I’m not sure the Pens would want to pay that. Adams is a great niche player and he knows his role, but there are a ton of guys out there and in the minors that can fill the same role for half the price.

I am hoping that isn’t true, but if indeed he is looking for that kind of increase I definitely think he has to go. I have a lot of respect for Adams and want him to be a Pen but not at the cost of other key needs of the team.

I thank Talbot over and over again for his contribution over the years and definitely his 2 goals against Detroit in game 7 but his time has come I think. Connor may not put up big numbers but he is a pure energy guy and his speed was awesome. I’m still not sure why Bylsma broke up the midget line with Connor, Kennedy and Letestu.

Sorry but the play of Connor, Kennedy and Letestu on a line is more valuable then anything Talbot can bring to the table. He is a good PKer and thats about it (other then being loved by fans and a great locker room guy) but how far does that carry you? I believe it’s carried him as far as it’s going to on this Pens team!!!! EASILY replaced and wont even be missed other then all the jokes and the horrible commericals!

But seriously when was the last time Talbot did something to charge the team up with energy? Not since his 2 goals in the cup finals and before that was when he got BEAT up by Carcillo! I dont really consider that contributing!! Sure him ssshing the crowd was funny but do you honestly think thats why the team came back from 0-3 deficit? lol, I sure dont, they came back and won that game because they were the better team! Talbot neeeds to go.

Thats because you can’t refute all my points. Talbot is very replaceable and thats all there is to it! Just because the guy is a cool guy and IMO he is, doesnt mean he is a Penguin for life lol..Man Imagine if Shero re signs Max just because he is a fan favourite. He would NEVER do that though because he is a good GM, sorry excellent GM and excellent GM’s dont sign players on likability! You need to take the Talbot glasses off and realize he is a dime a dozen player and he is not worth anything near the pay check he makes now!
