Thiessen Receives Qualifying Offer, TK Does Not
Not surprised by Thiessen's qualifying offer but the lack of one for Tyler Kennedy was not expected, at least by me.
More on Thiessen, great kid and a great year in 2010-11. With John Curry signing overseas he's the clear #1 goalie in the AHL heading into camp.

Confuzzled
I was surprised as well. Now this could possibly mean Shero is making a solid effort for Jagr, (I hope), or a drive for Vrbata who wants to stay in Phoenix or an offer to Ryder! I would feel a lot better about TK not receiving a qualifying offer had Dupuis already signed. Hopefully Dupuis, Rupp and Jagr are brought in now! I do really like that Vrbata though! Maybe Michalek can talk to him, come join the dark side Vrbata…
What it actually comes down to is TK stepped up and played himself right off the Penguins team. Truth be told I dont see him as a top 6 and I dont see TK progressing much further then what he accomplished last season. Definitely not if Crosby and Malkin are healthy and ripping up the league as I am predicting will happen.
