Hats off to Sam McCaig of Yahoo Sports. He listed the NHL's top 25 for each position. This kind of subjectivity has to draw criticism like:

"The list are a joke and he puts them out for all to read and makes a complete a$$ of himself. Thanks Puck Daddy, your free entertainment."

One thing about ranking lists is that they create the illusion that distance between each rank is equal. when in fact the gap between, say, #1 and #2 could be wider than between #2 and #200. Actually, that once happened in point totals with the gap between Gretzky (1st) and Kurri (2nd) being that wide.

Anyway, I'm glad that opinions are not really like bunsholes, because I usually have two. Opinions, that is. I, therefore, don't put a lot of importance on McCaig's evaluations but I do like to see Penguins getting mentionned.
