Pittsburgh Penguins forward Craig Adams underwent successful laparoscopic appendectomy surgery on Friday.
UPMC physician Dr. Jack McKeating performed the surgery in Pittsburgh. Adams’ rehab is expected to take four weeks. He is expected to be ready for training camp in September.

Of course it was successful. Craig Adams is a Harvard grad. He probably did the surgery himself.

If anything surprised me it was the 4 week rehab. I feel like some hockey players have missed less than a week. But I’ve not had my appendix removed, so I don’t really know how you feel. 4 weeks seemed kinda extreme, but if he’s not going to miss any camp, it’s no big deal.

maybe it’s 4 weeks only in the offseason…something like normal-person-recovery-time… and during the season – 1 week should do!
You have to see it for yourself...
Yeah, I guess you’re right. Adams’ body is so smart it knew to rid itself of the appendix before the upcoming season.
