its tough, take away from any team 2 of their top 3 centers and there top D and they will lose quite a few games. the difference between us and those teams are we still have a #1 center in Malkin and still have 3 top defense men that would be top dogs on many other teams. the problem is exactly as Orpik says, we give up….

He does and hes doing a good job staying out of the box but I just dont think this team shows a lot of “life”. There is no extra fire to go out there and knock bodies, win battles in the corner and finish goals

That was the problem, I didn’t get to watch him much his rookie year on Edmonton but I think everyone hyped him up a little much cuz of his size. I’d love him if he lived up to his potential but the LA seems to want him hung or driven out of town.

The Pens need a shrink (or Prozac :))…it’s like the players are in this funk and just going through the motions. I read a comment MAF made last season when he was going through his ‘Dark Period’. He said how Crosby pointed out that MAF can’t have lost all his skill overnight…that’s what this team needs to hold onto- I mean, if you are an NHL player you are there because you have some skill…I just feel sorry for them skating around like someone died.

Maybe. Just wish there was some ‘fire in the belly’….I just saw Richard Park softly punt the puck into Craig Anderson, and hearing the announcer call it a ‘shot’…I just had to laugh…ah well, it could always be worse…
