I don’t have an update for you on [Sidney Crosby]. He is in light exercise. He is exercising. What that is, in terms of heart rate and activity, is different on different days. That’s where Sid is in his rehab right now.

Personally, I would rather not have another update until he is back on the ice skating and participating in practice.

In reality, you’re right there’s not much news until then. But I think the Pens would owe it to the fans to give a little more info- how’s the symptoms, how regular, did he really pass an ImPact test in November, has he taken one since, how does this compare to the 2011 concussion, etc.

There’s a lot of info they’re sitting on.

True. I guess I was stating that for my own good as I hate getting my hopes up or looking to far into things. I agree there is more they could at least tell us but the daily/weekly updates are not needed IMO.

I agree there is info they are sitting on. You mean they have their franchise marquee player sidelined and they don’t have any idea other than “light exercising”.

We don’t want a complete medical evaluation, but there has to be a little more of an update than they will give. If you listen to the post practice media scrums, the media usually don’t even bother asking. Finally, today Dave Molinari tried to ask specifically what he is doing in terms of work outs, and we got the vague answer from Bylsma.

With each passing day we don’t see Sid or hear much about him, it does get discouraging.

I'll keep saying it until it happens

but Sid just needs to take a year off. No more than light exercising and weight lifting to stay in shape. Having a head injury and pushing yourself to come back to play a contact sport is no way to heal it. He just needs some major time off, concussion symptoms can last for years anyways. Not trying to be negative, I just think thats whats best right now
