Yeah, he’ll be “ready”, but it always takes a bit to get back the rhythm of the game. And Letang hasn’t had a ton of experience coming back from injury. So hopefully it just goes seamlessly, and he’s right back into it where he left off.

Yup. I’m glad Vitale has been playing well enough this year to put some pressure on the other roster players. He deserves the time he’s been getting, imo, but obviously he’s going to have a more difficult time getting ice time as the rest of the line up gets healthy (which I swear will happen!).

he seems to be pretty quick to the puck and good with the stick in the offensive zone. I cant recall him having any defensive lapses

Maybe, but there’s supposed to be an amount of time they stay there in order to be actually evaluated. Letang didn’t do it against Montreal, and now it seems Skinner hasn’t stayed there either. I guess I’m just thinking that the system isn’t really sorted out to force the protection on the players that they’re supposed to be getting.

Yeah, but Skinner (like Letang) was pretty obviously ‘dazed’, so I don’t think it should matter what the player says.
Not that it can work that way, since there needs to be something cut-and-dried for a trainer or doctor to be able to keep a guy out of play. But still…I’m irritated.

What a sneaky shot by Neal on that goal and how bout that insane save fluery made on staal to win the game. Great game by the pens and it easily could’ve been a blowout. Malkin again played like a monster after taking about half of the first period to wake up. Also, MAF played his best game in a long while and dupper played great too. Good game keep it up!

Was at the game (in the melody lot as I type this)
And WOW what a game!! The Won the game despite giving up the first goal less than 5 mins in and the man who tied it up was Geno the machine!!
What a fine preformance by the Guins. The possessed the puck for most of the game, they were Hiting and battling, they were aggressive and shooting the puck, they were physical and if it wasn’t for Cam Ward the game could of been like 5-1.
And how bout Orpik’s hit on Skinner. Hope that ten year old liked getting some free candy because that’s exactly what he got.
Great game and a fine preformance by the Guins. Didn’t like Geno not getting a star in the game, he deserved to get one.
