In the hope that some progress is finally being made in the NHL Labor Talks, I have written a piece that examines the NHL's latest proposal from the view of a Pittsburgh Penguins' fan. While the proposal is just that - a stab at reaching an agreement - the NHL's latest offering at least appears to offer a compromise. After weeks and weeks of nonsensical posturing, there finally appears to be some urgency on the part of the owners to get a deal done before the New Year.

Here's to getting this resolved, and getting back to talking about hockey.
