Anyways, what are yinz feelings on the team after that terrible 6 game mood swing at the end of last season? To me, it was so ****ing embarassing I could barely stand calling myself a Pens fan. The team behaved like children...the hockey we played was terrible aside from game 4 (5 was alright), and the general attitude of the team was even worse. Neal, one of my favorite players, threw two horrendous hits out of frustration, something I would never expect out of him. Malkin threw his fair share of questionable shoulders and elbows, and worst of all, Crosby acted like a complete brat...not something a captain should come anywhere close to. Can somebody please teach Crosby how to play the game with class like Stamkos does? Even Craig Adams, a player I had a huge amount of respect for, tried cheapshotting and jumping Hartnell. Mario needs to have a serious talk with the team and teach them how to play with class and respect like he did. I would LOVE for them to take the C off of #87's jersey so he would take a look in the mirror and realize what kind of player he is - cheap and childish - and work to change that. If we had an actual leader, like a Gary Roberts or Bill Guerin, I feel as if a blow up like that would not have happened. The team I love and root for looked like teenagers on the ice, throwing mood swings when something didn't go their way, taking cheapshots like it was acceptable. As a matter of fact I still have a sour taste in my mouth from it. And thats just how the team acted, not even touching on how they played. To make matters even worse we were put in the spotlight for it, and are widely recognized as the dirtiest team in the league, even though it was just that series we played THAT cheap in, aside from some other miniscule events that happened throughout the season. What do you guys think, do I have a viable reason to feel this way? Or am I just crazy?
