Bob McKenzie, the TSN guru tweeted that he heard Letang has a "banged up" face/jaw, but also that the Pens are hoping he has not suffered a concussion. But he also initially reported Letang collided with a teammate (which he did not) so take his word as an outside observer FWIW.
Lovejoy only played three shifts last game, and being as Simon Despres AND Brian Strait were called up from the minors yesterday, it seems like a good bet that they both could be in the NHL lineup tonight.
In happier news, Steve Sullivan, who missed his first game of the season last time out, was said to re-join the lineup tonight.
Also Sidney Crosby, who took a big hit from Andy Greene, was also on the ice and appears to be no worse for wear. Always good to see Crosby pass a test and Greene dumping him down was the biggest hit he's taken in his second return from head injury.
Stay tuned for updates on Letang and Lovejoy when Dan Bylsma talks to the media, but as usual, it's wise not to expect too much in terms of details.
