Wheel of justice lands: James Neal suspended 1 game, Arron Asham suspended 4 games

Finally, after a long day of deliberation, Brendan Shanahan has suspended James Neal for one game and Arron Asham for 4 games due to their actions against the Phildelphia Flyers in game 3.

Neal had two bad hits in one sequence and you kind of figured some discipline was coming, especially as the hours dragged by in the day. Asham pretty much assaulted Brayden Schenn, so we all knew big time punishment was coming there, and if anything four games for his actions are probably on the low scale for most estimates.

For the Pens, this will leave big shockwaves for Game 4. Craig Adams was given a match penalty and an automatic one game suspension that the NHL upheld. So now Pittsburgh will put Eric Tangradi and Joe Vitale back in the lineup and have a decision to make for the third guy. It could be Dustin Jeffrey, but the team hasn't shown much faith in him lately.

Regardless, with their backs to the wall in a true "must win" situation, the Pens will be without Neal, their 40 goal scorer.
