Shea Weber signed an offer sheet worth reportedly 14 years and upwards of 100 million according to Dreger. Supposedly they were working on a trade with the Flyers and Holmgren grew impatient so he just extended an offer instead. Nashville now can either match it (please god match it....) or receive 2 first round picks, a 2nd and a 3rd in compensation. Personally, I think Nashville will match it. After losing Suter, they can't afford to let the centerpiece of their franchise go elswhere. At least, I really hope they match it. I really don't want to have to go up against Weber for the next 14 years....
