I'd feel annoyed and cheated by this turn of events except we Penguin fans would not need to consider the consequences of losing Zach Parise to the Wild if the team had drafted and developed quality top-six forwards. But that hasn't happened.
A side-note: It's unlikely that money was the decisive factor in either case. ESPN reported that "...both deals are worth $98 million over 13 years." Philly allegedly offered more to each player.
