Since some people are so ludicrously stating that Sid is or should be on the hot seat I present to you all a legitimate question regarding CDB's standing in the organization.
Is this a make or break season for Dan Bylsma?
After coming in to save the season and lead the team to a Cup win in 09 these penguins have fallen short of our expectations (and surely management's expectations) every post season.
While I love CDB and what he has done I feel that this team under his tutelage doesn't have what it takes in the post season. The regular season results are great. The team is a legit contender but something happens when the chips are down and it seems like CDB and Company don't have the answers or the strategy to make it back to the big show. As Michel Therrien might say "Danny Bylsma's team is too soff"
I am not saying that this year should be a Cup Victory or bust (although that is my expectation of this squad) but I feel that anything short of a Conference Final Appearance this year should mean curtains for Dan Bylsma or one of his assistants.
With the tools at his disposal I firmly believe that CDB should be getting better results than he has in the last three campaigns. I understand there were some injuries in the 10-11 run but what about 09-10 and 11-12?
