Following last night's Black & Gold Scrimmage, I tried to get this article out ASAP, but before I had done so, the Pens Waived Brian Strait and answered some of the ideas presented within it.

Having said that, I still think the team might pursue a veteran defenseman in the event Simon Despres is not ready for full-time duty, and if you have been reading Internet Rumors, you know exactly which veteran defenseman I have in mind.
