With the acquisitions of Brenden Morrow and Douglas Murray, it appears that Shero has done what he has set out to do, secure some more physical, gritty players ahead of the playoffs. But is that all? Is there still a chance to land another piece?
Pierre LeBrun wrote that he thinks that the Pens may still be in the mix for Iginla, although I find that very hard to believe, nor do I think that it would be wise to part with a 1st round pick and 2 prospects to get him, which is the rumored asking price. "But the point is, the Penguins want to remain active on the trade front if something makes sense, and that includes keeping tabs on the Iginla situation."
Any thoughts? Who would fit in after landing Morrow and Murray? Since our D is ridiculously deep, I can't see us adding more to that mix. Maybe it's time to trade TK for more of a true 3rd liner?
Any thoughts? Who else would fit in?
