Should Bylsma Be the Penguins Head Coach?

There's been a lot of speculation on whether or not Dan Bylsma will be back as the head coach next season, and whether or not he should be back as the coach next season.

Here are some of the accomplishments as the Pens head coach(taken from his Bio here).

  • 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Champion
  • 3 Straight 100 point season
  • Winningest Playoff Coach in team history
  • Best regular season winning percentage (.655) in team history
  • 2nd most regular season wins in team history
  • Dapper Dan Sportsman of the year award
  • 4th fastest coach in NHL history to reach 150 wins
  • 2011 Jack Adams award
  • 4th Rookie coach in 50 years to win a Stanley Cup
But all of these accomplishments don't mean anything if you're not contending for the cup. Many in the media had the Pens and Hawks as the favorites to play for the cup this year. Unfortunately for the Pens, they failed to get there. For that reason(as well as the 4 game sweep by the Bruins, among other reasons), many believe Bylsma should be fired. What do you think?
