Former Penguin star Jaromir Jagr has signed a one year deal with the New Jersey Devils, which will most likely be made offical Tuesday. Jagr once again signs with a rival of the Pens. The Devils may not be as hated as the Flyers are by us Pens fans, but it still stings to see him sign with a team we don't exactly care for. Jagr wasn't exactly my favorite player when he played for the Pens, a man named Mario Lemieux might have had something to do with that, but I still liked Jagr. I always thought he left Pittsburgh in a way he shouldn't have, but then he pulled his little stunt with the Flyers 2 seasons ago. Most of us assumed he would sign with us again aligning himself with Crosby and Malkin in order to make another cup run, but he didn't. Instead he went to Filthadelphia, excuse me, Philadelphia, and fully shoved the knife in the back of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Not only that, but as you remember, or don't really want to remember, he was part of those disastrous 2012 and 2013 playoff beat downs we received these past 2 postseasons. After all that, I can't stand Jagr anymore. Glad to see him sign with New Jersey, just another reason to want to light the lamp behind Broduer. I hope we not only beat the Devils now, I want to destroy them. Blow them so far out of the water that they'll be joining Kovalchuk in an escape to Russia. Nonetheless this has-been backstabber is back in the same division as us, unfortunately.
