33 - number of points scored by Sidney Crosby against division opponents. That mark, is good for best in the league*. Crosby has played 22 games against division foes, tallying 13 goals and 20 assists, and has a +14 plus/minus. (Consider it's a -1 against the rest of the league). Throw in 3 game-winning goals and a really strong effort at even strength (10g, 13a) and it's been great times for Crosby versus the Pens biggest rivals. And, amazingly, his 16.9% shooting percentage isn't even that much higher than his season average of 15.3%. It's not a lot of luck that's having Crosby pile up the goals, it's his skill.
The Pens face the New York Rangers tonight at Consol in their final game before the Olympic break. Crosby has 5 points (1g, 4a) this season so far in three games against NYR. He also failed to score on a shootout attempt in a game back in December.
