Trotz resigns as Washington coach.
I somehow ended up in On The Forechecks outdated glossary of terms and came across this little gem The Hornqvist Interval: The time between the freezing of the puck and the whistle that opposing defenders use to facewash, cheap-shot, elbow, slap, punch, or otherwise harass (with seeming immunity from sanction) Patric Hornqvist in front of an opponent’s goal.
"Last October, I helped President Obama honor the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. And I hate the Pittsburgh Penguins."
nhl.com is reporting that Jim Rutherford says Kessel may not be fully recovered from surgery in time for the new season.
At least for Foxsports who seem to think the Marlins will be playing the Penguins, not the Pirates.....
Wow, that must be the whole town turned out for it.
Max Talbot's place in Pittsburgh Penguins history is cemented. Though he hasn't played for Pittsburgh in five seasons, he'll always be remembered for his Game 7 performance against the Detroit Red Wings: the one that won the Penguins the Stanley Cup back in 2009.
The Pens won by a score of 2-1. Talbot scored both goals.
Kind of sounds like Bryan Rust, doesn't it? It's only fitting, because Talbot was cheering for the Penguins in their Game 7 battle against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
While Talbot is now moving on - he's signed with HC Lokomotiv in the KHL - he hasn't forgotten his time with the Penguins. And he was with them last night.
