Tales of the Tape: Playoffs Edition - vs. Philadelphia Flyers 5/11/08

Who thought the explosive rivalry between the Pens and the Flyers would result in at least one fight?  Get yourself a cookie and buckle up, because we've got an awesome fight to go with an awesome Game 2 win.

Just 3:49 into the 1st period, the gloves came off between Tyler Kennedy and Scottie Upshall and much like his fight back in February, Kennedy was ready, willing and able to earn himself a win.  Starting off with some heavy shots to the back of Upshall's head, a tie-up was broken up by a takedown (whom I not quite sure is responsible for - Upshall's skates come up, making it look like Kennedy pulled him over from beneath, which is an odd thing to see).  Before the linesmen could get in, both were back on their skates and trading blows back and forth.  Finally, Kennedy pulled Upshall's jersey up and scored a solid shot to the head, downing his opponent and getting the clear victory.  What a scrap.

No doubt

Kennedy pulled out the win on this one.  And also, if I'm not mistaken, this is the only postseason fight so far for the Pens right?

At least, a highlight worthy fight (I think there was a scrap in the Sens series).

yup
Second fight - first was between Ryan Whitney and Wade Redden during game one against Ottawa.

This definitely was a great fight - one of the best I've seen all season.
