Nineteen of 20 NHL clubs raised their ticket prices this season while just three actually made it more affordable to attend the few home games available this season. If this seems unconscionable, it shouldn't. This is par for the NHL's course.

Pittsburgh isn't trying to end the lockout because it's the right thing to do, but getting a season underway would be a lovely coincidence of their efforts to make money.
