One of the narratives giving hope to NHL fans and players during CBA talks is that the NHLPA can exploit competing interests among the league's rich and poor owners. However, even the league's small-markets will benefit from a work stoppage.
The NHLPA is trying to prevent being locked out and NHL fans are upset and feeling powerless about it. But maybe both groups can help each other out.
