Hockey Blog Round-Up

It's a quiet day around the Pens today.  Given the likeliness of injuries lately I'll take a quiet day over an everyone-is-getting-hit-by-pucks-in-practice day anytime.

So let's take a look at some of the other blogs on the ol' Interwebs.

For starters, the Pens close out this month against the Isles, Sabres and Devils.

Keep an eye on the Islanders coverage with Lighthouse Hockey.  Pop quiz before Wednesday's game.

Perhaps a good sign of things to come, the Sabres are slipping into a bit of a funk.  After starting the season off fairly hot, the Islanders just handed the Sabres their fifth loss in a row.  Head over to Die By The Blade for that coverage.

Even outside of Martin Brodeur, the Devils are pretty banged up.  John Madden and Mike Mottau sat out Sunday's game against Tampa, while big guys like Brian Rolston, Bobby Holik and Andy Greene remain out.  John from SBN's Devils blog In Lou We Trust can fill ya in.

Vote for Mirtle's From the Rink to win a Canadian blogging award.

Pecklund the Phoney Hockey Blogger makes his educated guess as to who is going where this week.  It's been a while since we had a genuine Mats Sundin rumor, but Pecklund doesn't fail to come through.

In case you haven't done so already, give a vote for the winner of the Penguins recent melee with the Canucks. Dunman does his best to sort it out, narrowing it down to a Matt Cooke vs Jannik Hansen bout.
