Sid to Miss Week

After practice today Sid announced he will sit out another week to recover from the plaguing pains of his season-rocking high ankle sprain.

"I'm just going to take a week here to give it more time to rest.  It's just one of those nagging things. I know what's coming up in the future, and I want to make sure I give it the best possible chance to be strong."

Without Sid, the Pens have gone 12-6-4, no doubt a formidable record that exemplified the true depth of the team.  Recent deadline acquisition Marian Hossa is expected to find his place with the team again this Sunday against the Flyers.

Max Talbot is also expected to play Sunday, while Petr Sykora is questionable after not practicing on Friday with regards to a sore back.

With the Pens playing the way they've done without their captain, it's almost weird to not feel disturbed by his absence from the lineup.  The team is confident, and rightfully so.

Too bad NBC can't exude the same confidence in their ratings now...
