Sidney Crosby wins ESPY - Best hockey player

This may be a day late because I honestly felt the schedule had a little more precedence than an ESPN award...

Anyways...

Sidney Crosby took home an ESPY for best NHL player, beating out the likes of Jarome Iginla, Alex Ovechkin, Pavel Datsyuk and teammate Evgeni Malkin.

Crosby was also nominated for the "Hummer like nothing else award" which, frankly, I'm happy he didn't win.  In fact, I don't even know what it entails, but I think I'm ok without knowing.  It's ok though - George Martin won it.  Whoever that is...

I was also a trifle bit aghast to see David Beckham as the winner for "Best MLS Player."  Wasn't he injured for most of last year?  I guess if anything, his inflated and pointless contract for a sport with no life in this country is at least worth of an ESPY.
