Jaromir Jagr arrived in Russia to a welcome very similar to that of a presidential candidate. And you know what? I feel happy for the guy. He played second fiddle to Lemieux, did nothing in Washington and was considered an old-timer by the time he got to New York (despite a killer 123 point season in 2005/06). So I feel it's only right that he gets the acclaim he deserves.
Jaromir Jagr - the Russian League's version of David Beckham.
Props to Beyond the Blueshirts for the find.
