NOTES
Off to Philly the Penguins go in hopes that they'll finish off with a sweep and have a little down time before the second round. Although a 2-0 lead doesn't guarantee the Penguins will clinch the series, the odds are obviously already in their favor. Factor in how well Crosby plays at the Wachovia Center (averaging nearly two points a game in his career) and the odds improve a bit more. As I've been saying all week: when the fans bring their worst, Crosby brings his best.
There's no denying it - Philly was downright scary Friday night. For part of the game at least. In the end they were unable to finish what they started and now take to home ice needing to turn this thing around right away. Perhaps the home crowd will give them the same surge that Pitt fed off of at Mellon. If not, then a 3-0 hole poses as quite the deficit and one that will likely spell out a first round bounce for Philly.
Today we're going to start the live thread over at Broad Street Hockey. We'll come back here for the second and host the Philly fans, then wave goodbye to them before the third and stay put right here for the rest of the game.
