NOTES

At long last this series will come to an end. Everything's on the line tonight. If the previous six games were any indication of what to expect than this one will not disappoint.

There's a stat going around the ticker on the NHL Network. "Pittsburgh: 3-0 all-time in game sevens on the road." Yeah well, I hate to break it to ya, but that was 1992, 1999 and 2001. Obviously a lot has changed staffing wise for the team since those games (see also: everything). Considering Marc-Andre Fleury, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were never part of a Pittsburgh Game 7 on the road (or at home for that matter), I can't allow myself to consider that stat as a factor in tonight's game. It is, however, an opportunity to add a new one to the collection.

On the contrary Washington has some experience with Game 7, although not on the road. They won it on home ice against the Rangers in the quarterfinals and will be on home ice once again tonight where they dropped Game 5 in this series.

It's still anyone's game.
